It never fails: You're 30 pages from the end of a book, or 15 minutes from the end of a movie, and you start to wonder, "How are they going to wrap all this up in the time remaining?" And then... they don't. Which book or movie ends on the most frustrating cliffhanger?

  • Please include a picture, book cover, or clip of the book or movie in question. And please let us know the title, and why it was so frustrating. Thanks!

As for which was first book or movie ... movie is the answer. One of the many things that makes SW a unique story is the fact that the books were written about the movies not a movie made from a book. Ironically the novel versions of the OT are basically useless to read because of all the changes that have been made to the story but in truth the novel versions were never very good in the beginning.

  • I think the problem here is not books or movies being better than each other, it’s adaptations. An adaptation can never capture everything in the book – I don’t suppose many of us would want to sit in a cinema for a ten hour stretch anyway.
