  • Don Evans provides his staff with a unique workplace that promotes learning and legal excellence. To the firm attorneys, Don is a mentor. He teaches them procedures and passes along his knowledge of litigation and trial strategies. To his support staff, Don is a teacher. Most importantly, though, Don offers the ability for his staff to grow to their full potential.

Most importantly, though, Don offers the ability for his staff to grow to their full potential.

  • And then, something happened. After networking with other professionals in the legal community, I noted that the majority of paralegal, legal secretaries, and legal assistants did not share in my same experiences. This revelation is what prompted my career path. My experiences at Don Evans, PLLC, as a legal support staff member has been, to put it bluntly, amazing. Thinking to the future, I wanted a career that would combine my legal experiences with organizational management practices. I began my post-graduate work and continued to grow in my career with Don Evans. Eventually, I assumed the role of senior litigation specialist and, later, human resources director. I earned my MBA in human resources and will graduate with a Ph.D. in human resources and organizational management in 2013. I have taught paralegal certification courses at Belhaven University, begun consulting for law firms, and have been invited to speak at CLE seminars on various issues. The most amazing part of the process is that Don Evans allowed me to grow. Though I am not an attorney, Don Evans has found a way to incorporate my knowledge and skills into his organization and utilize my expertise. Organizational experts claim that in order for companies to be successful in the future, they must allow their human resource professional to act in the course and scope of strategic business partners. If this is true, then Don Evans has already stacked the cards in his favor.

What followed the next nine years in regards to my career with the firm was a combination of my hard work and guidance from Don Evans. Don encourages his staff to be the best they can be, at whatever it is they do. Everyday can be a learning experience. Don Evans, though the firm’s owner and leader, also acts in a dual role as teacher and mentor to everyone.

Social and other profiles for Donald Evans may include:

Don Evans is a recognizable face and household name in Mississippi. From billboards to television, it is hard to find someone who does not know Don. Oftentimes, Don Evans has been asked to explain the secrets to his successes. Always modest, I have heard Don Evans brush off the question, humbly stating that it was just hard work. While I would agree that Don Evans is one of the hardest working people I have ever encountered, I think the secret behind his successes goes much deeper. Working for Don Evans for almost ten years, I can attest to the genius of the entrepreneur that is Don Evans.
