  • Hello my fellow bookworms! Welcome to today’s article on the Geeky Girl Book Club! I hope that I reeled you in when I mentioned that I will be discussing about the latest book and movie that has hit the screens, The Maze Runner!

The Maze Runner is a 2014 American science fiction action film directed by Wes Ball, based on the 2009 bestselling novel of the same name by James Dashner.

  • The third installment in the Maze Runner franchise (The Death Cure) is set to be released on 17th February, 2017, that’s a full year and three months after the release of the second film (The Scorch Trials).

After the success of the “Twilight” studios began fast tracking all the Young Adult book based films they could. Most of these have been mediocre at best, but “The Maze Runner” is a surprising exception.

The Maze runner is definitely a must read. I have enjoyed reading this book from start to finish.

Actor Dylan O’Brien, best known for his work on TeenWolf, is hospitalized after an accident on the set of TheMaze Runner: The Death Cure in Vancouver, BritishColumbia.

The Maze Runner is coming to cinemas 10th October, 2014.

First, The Maze Runner is poorly lit. Crucially, it's poorly lit to the point where you just can't see what's going on. Too many times in too many key sequences, the action is near impenetrable. We're not at the low bar set by the execrable Aliens Vs Predator - Requiem in that regard, where much of the film was plunged into utter darkness, but there are still too many moments when you just want to throw the characters a torch.
